Nada Surf’s fifth studio album, Lucky, features 11 alternative rock songs with motifs of impermanence, showcasing their mastery of lyricism and musicality.

Heavily inspired by the lyrical themes of existentialism and imperfection paired with the album’s loud, fast rock music, I used images of spirals, glowing round orbs, and circular tie-dye to convey both introspection and outward rumination.
